Easiest Way to Prepare Yummy Fried Tofu

Fried Tofu. Wrap tofu in a clean towel and place onto a plate. Fried tofu can be dipped in just about any kind of sauce: barbecue sauce, vegan ranch dressing, honey mustard, Chinese hoisin sauce or even wing sauce. You can also use fried tofu in any vegetable stir-fry, fried rice, or a vegetarian curry or noodle dish, or just about anything, really.

Fried Tofu I have had MANY people ask me how I pan fry my tofu and get it so crispy and firm. There are a few reasons why:-). First I either use a non-stick or cast iron pan, I don't overcrowd the surface, I drain my tofu REALLY well, use only extra firm Chinese style and MOST important of all, I leave it undisturbed while cooking and this allows the golden crust we all love on pan-fried tofu to develop! You can cook Fried Tofu using 3 ingredients and 2 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Fried Tofu

  1. It's 2 blocks of tofu, slice.
  2. You need 2 of tomatoe, chopped.
  3. It's of Shallots and garlic, minced.

Marinated tofu cubes: For extra flavor, toss the sliced tofu in a mixture of soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sesame oil and let stand for a few minutes before coating with cornstarch and frying. Lightly grease a non-stick pan with oil. Put tamari (soy sauce) in a bowl. In another bowl mix yeast and spices.

Fried Tofu step by step

  1. Stir fry shallots and garlic then add tomatoe. Season with salt. When cook set aside.
  2. Cut tofu into slices pat dry with kitchen towel. Heat pan add oil then fry tofu. When done arrange in a plate and put cooked tomatoe in the center to use as dipping sauce.

Place tofu onto a plate and place another plate on top. If you've claimed yourself not a tofu fan, you probably just haven't had tofu the right way. I bet you if you had this pan-fried sesame garlic tofu, you would change your tune on tofu! I have been loving tofu in my dishes lately. It's a great source of protein and low in fat.
