We ran out of rice, so I improvised by making a filling meal with tofu and veggies. Stir-fry over medium-high to high heat just until asparagus is tender but still slightly crunchy. - You need 400 gram of tofu, wrapped into a cloth or tissue paper to remove the water, cut into four pieces.
- Prepare of Oil for frying.
- It's 4 of asparagus, cut into 1 inch strips.
- Prepare 8 of champignon mushrooms, sliced thinly.
- It's 1 clove of garlic, sliced thinly.
- You need 1 tsp of oil.
- Prepare 2 tsp of cornstarch mixed with 100 ml of water, 1/2 tsp powdered broth, 1 tbsp oyster sauce (I used vegan type, made of mushrooms).
- Prepare 1 dash of black pepper.
Asparagus and Fried Tofu in Sesame Oil & Oyster Sauce. Directions: Heat sesame oil and stir-fry tofu pieces. Remove tofu from pan, add in asparagus and garlic. Add mushrooms to the pan, and stir-fry three to four minutes, until just tender and moist.

- Pour the sauce over the fried tofu and serve..
Add the remaining tablespoon of oil, and stir in the garlic, ginger and asparagus. Remove tofu from pan and set aside. Remove from pan and add to tofu. Drain, reserving marinade in small bowl. Pour off the oil until only about a tablespoonful remains.
